President Musevemi has called on women Movements to support the free Universal education for girls and women.

President Museveni made the call while Officiating at the ongoing  three-day 17th International Association of Women Judges Africa Region Conference that  kicked off today at the Commonwealth Resort Hotel, Munyonyo.

The theme of the Conference is; "Women Judges: Breaking Barriers to Equal Justice, Strengthening Institutions." The National Association of Women Judges Uganda under the leadership of Justice Henrietta Wolayo, is hosting this year’s Conference.

President Museveni said that when it comes to free Education to women in Uganda, he is fighting alone since even the head teachers of schools have become local  parasites to the movement by failing it, leading to the many drop outs of girls from school.

According to president Museveni, this will break the path of transformation and has urged the head teachers to promote the movement instead of being moneyminded by constantly demanding for money from poor parents making them to chose between boys over girls when it comes to Education.

The President further criticised the business Community that continues to fail the  Education sector by buying off school buildings and turning them into business ventures.

He revealed that by 2013, only 32% of Ugandana were in the money economy leaving the 68% in dire poverty, something he attributed to the laziness of many Ugandans who do not want to work, but spe is their tine visit relatives.

He said that he was forced to use the army to force people to work especially those with land to use it for food security and money making by providing seedlings and that 61% of Ugandans are now in the money Economy.

However Museveni notes that there is still a challenge of girls performing better than  boys, but is hopeful that once the girls get Education and are able to access things like land, their future will be bright.
