Parliament will order a forensic Audit to see whether there  is value for money invested into the renovation of Namboole  National stadium.

"We shall do a forensic audit to see how much money we have spent on the project and how much more needs to be done due to the proposed variations,” she said.

The speaker Anita Annet Among revealed this at Namboole where he had led a team of Mps to inspect the works at the stadium.

This follows a recent decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) not to approve the  renovation efforts carried out by the UPDF Engineering Bridge, citing unmet standards.

Among revealed that parliament cleared all the funds required by the UPDF to complete the stadium to the international standards to host the 2027 African cup of Nation and the ministry of finance is yet to release the 17.7 billion shillings.

With UGX 80 billion so far released for the project, final works required a full pay up of the UGX 97 billion appropriated.

She also ordered  the removal of scrap buses from the stadium parking lot by pioneer bus company ,and  asked the board of the  stadium to stop leasing the land that belongs to the stadium to activities that are not sports in nature.

"We also want to know who leased out that land to pioneer bus company, and how much did the Government of Uganda earn from the None Tax Revenue (NTR).
