In a momentous occasion marked by legal luminaries and esteemed dignitaries, the President of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) Bernard Oundo officially inaugurated the launch of the 28th State of the Rule of Law Quarterly Report that covers January to March.

The Rule of Law stands as the cornerstone of a just and equitable society and ensures that all individuals are treated fairly and equally under the law. The President thanked all the strategic partners for supporting ULS to execute its mandate and further emphasized that the Uganda Law society is committed to upholding this principle and advocating for its stedfast implementation across all sectors of society. 

The ULS releases these reports on a quarterly basis highlighting areas of progress and challenges that demand urgent attention. 

With solemnity and purpose, the event underscored the society's unwavering commitment to transparency, justice, and the promotion of the rule of law.

Joined by esteemed dignitaries such as Jane Frances Abodo, Director of Public Prosecutions, H.E. Matthias Schauer, Ambassador of Germany to Uganda, and Col. Deo Karikona, Director of Human Rights, UPDF, the event symbolized a collective commitment to advancing legal transparency and accountability in Uganda.

During the event, Col. Deo Karikona, Director of Human Rights at UPDF, reiterated the organization's unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding human rights.

Amidst a gathering of legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers, the President delivered a stirring address, emphasizing the critical role of the Rule of Law Report in promoting accountability and upholding the principles of justice. Their remarks highlighted the significance of evidence-based analysis in guiding policy decisions and fostering a culture of legal excellence.
