President Yoweri Museveni has blamed the corrupt government officials in East African region for paralyzing the integration plans.
Museveni says that if it wasn't corrupt officials who were chasing for their benefits, East African countries would have integrated by now.
Museveni made the remarks at the last negotiations over the weekend at the 13th Summit of the Northern Corridor Integration Project at Munyonyo in Kampala.
Museveni clarifies that the Northern Corridor doesn't compete with the East African federation instead it’s an arm of the regional's integration.
Among the heads of state who participated in the summit included Rwanda's Paul Kagame and Kenya's Uhuru Kenyatta among others.
