URA leadership directs staff to clear tax payers transactions in one day

Uganda Revenue Authority has revised its operating structure directing all staff to serve tax payers in one day.this includes the issuing of Tin numbers,tax assessments,clearance and general inquiries.

this has been possible with the development of client service which stipulates a new social contract between the tax body and the general public.

Unveiling of the new charter is  part of the annual customer service day when customers directly interface with the URA senior management in receiving URA services to enable the management get direct feed back on what tax payers experience while receiving services.

This coincides with the annual activity where the URA  leadership commits to providing a delightful service to tax payers in line with core values of patriotism,integrity and professionalism.

Considering the fact that many Ugandans and other potential clients are willing to comply with tax obligations,its the responsibility of Uganda Revenue Authority to enhance compliance.

URA clients are composed of individual tax payers who are members of the public that remit taxes to Government while Non individual tax payers who are mainly companies,associations,non Government organizations and government ministries.

URA commissioner General John Musinguzi Rujoki says the charter is a basis upon which Ugandans will hold the tax body accountable to the promises made and provide constructive feedback .

At the same occasion lucky tax payers were gifted by URA staff as they appreciated them for paying taxes.
