President Yoweri Museveni has banned the importation of Government furniture and textile from abroad in a bid to promote local manufacturing.
Museveni made the remarks while officially opening the 24th Uganda Manufacturers Association international trade fair at Lugogo.
He has promised to reduce on power charges from 12 shillings per unit to 5 shillings for industrial users. 1350 exhibitors from over 27 countries across the world are taking part in the trade fair ending on 10th of October.
