OVER 732 PATIENTS OF TB ARE DRUG MULTI RESISTANT

The Director General of Health Services Ministry of health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng says that over 732 patients of TB are drug multi resistance.

The minister attributes the drug resistance to default in taking drugs by patients.

Aceng told members of parliament on the health committee of parliament that the TB patients need a lot counseling in order to take drugs because they are not easy to swallow.

Aceng says that there is a need to facilitate the Village health teams to provide outreach service TB patients to encourage them take drugs.

She says that it’s expensive to treat TB patients who are multi resistance.
