Parliament pledges to support Miss World Africa

Parliament has pledged to support miss world Africa Quiin Abenakyo to ensure she accomplishes her projects.

While meeting Quiin Abenakyo at parliament to ask her about her plans to promote the country, speaker Rebecca Kadaga said that there is need to support her move the projects forward since for the first time she has made the country in the international pageant.

Abenakyo’s was last year crowned Miss World Africa and her project centered on putting an end to teenage pregnancies in the country.

Abenakyo as miss world Africa, she will continue with her activities as Miss Uganda such as encouraging the girl child to stay at school, fighting teenage pregnancies and asking young people to fight for what they believe in.

Abenakyo says that she will also make exchange visits with other beauty queens in different parts of African so that she can learn more from their projects.

The 22-year-old Abenakyo, hails from Mayuge District in eastern Uganda.
