Police at the Kiira road station has managed to track notorious phone snatchers who operate around the Fairway using CCTV cameras' footage .
The three thieves have been identified as a 20 year old Suuna Ronald who is also the ring leader and Chairman phone snatchers , Abdul Mutwalibu 24 years and Nabisire Paul 26 years also residents Salaama road in Makindye division.
While addressing journalists at police headquarters Naguru police spokesperson Fred Enanga said, "On recording statements the three confessed to be snatching from Yusuf Lule road, Fairway junction, Kitante roundabout, Lugogo bypass and on weekends they stretch to Kansanga and Naalya."
He further revealed that they target foreign nationals mainly and government cars during traffic jam in Kampala.
According to Enanga the group further alleges that they sale their stolen items to one Gerald who operates a shop in cooper complex and by the end of last week he had sold to him an infinix, Tecno spark 3, Samsung A5, and iPhone 8 phones.
He adds that the hunt is still going on to get those on the run and will appear in courts of law after the investigation.
