Police struggles to enforce social distancing in Kikuubo

Police and other security agencies have been struggling to disperse crowds of shoppers at Kikuubo lane, Kampala road in down town Kampala as they enforce the social distance directive.

This is after government allowed some more businesses to re-open as gradually eases the lock down imposed 2 month ago as Corona virus containment measures.

In operation many shops were forced to close Kikuubo and Kampala road after failing to put in place measures recommended by Ministry of health of social distancing, many had no face masks while others didn't have water and soap at the entrance of their shops.

According to Ivan Nduhura operation Commander central police station police will continue patrolling to enforce presidential directives.

He adds that over 20 have been arrested for resisting police order to close their shop and released on police bond after cautioning them.
