Primary school pupils exposed to tobacco - Research

A new survey by Uganda National Health Consumers’ Organization shows that primary schools children are still exposed to tobacco and its product. According to the survey, there was a total of 50 tobacco sale outlets near 16 schools covered in the survey, 25% of schools surveyed have stores around them selling flavored tobacco while 94% have stores in the vicinity selling single stick cigarettes.
Mable Kukunda  the Program’s director UNHCO  says the  survey was conducted in 16 schools in Kampala.
