Central police station in Kampala have foiled a demonstration staged by People Power promoters who say government has failed to provide them relief food during Covid-19 lock down.

Abbey Musinguzi known as Abitex was intercepted at prime ministers office with placard, while his known comrade Andrew Mukasa of Bajjo events was also been arrested at theater Labonita in central Kampala.

According to Kampala deputy police spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire, the two known People Power promoters were arrested carrying Placards reading, "this is not politics we want food".

Owoyesigyire adds that police tried to stop them but they refused, they were then prompted to arrest them for disobedience of lawful order. They were taken to Central POlice Station to record statements.

According to Abbey Musinguzi, they have been home waiting for food in vain until president Museveni extended the lock down for another 14 days.
