Renowned Pentecostal prophet, Elvis Mbonye has instructed his lawyers to take legal action against police for alleged persecution, in connection with a case the police are investigating against him
On the 17th of October this year police summoned Mbonye following a face book post that discouraged people from taking their children for immunization against Polio measles and rubella
Mbonye has maintained that he did not author the post and since then a doctor identified as Mugisha Elvis Mbonye has stepped forward to claim that he authored the post but remains at large.
Earlier today, Mbonye and his team of lawyers were at CID headquarters in Kibuli only to be told that investigations have not yet been concluded.
One of his lawyers’ Dan Walyemera says they have been instructed to take legal action against individual police officers involved in the investigations and have written to the Director CID Grace Akullo showing their intent for legal action
