The High court has nullified the election of Juliet Suubi Kinyamatama as the woman member of parliament for Rakai district due electoral mal practice.
In his ruling Justice Lawrence Gidudu of the Masaka high court noted that the results were marred by multiple election irregularities including violence, voter bribery, ballot stuffing and multiple voting. He has now ordered for fresh elections.
Kinyamatama’s victory was challenge by Robina Sentongo who lost the election.
