The Democratic Party calls upon the legislature to put government under pressure to re open Makerere University.
The party spokesperson Kenneth Paul Kakande says that the closure of Makerere University has not only affected students but the health sector where Mulago hospital is now grappling with inadequate manpower after medical students withdrew services following the strike.
President Museveni ordered for the closure of the university last week, following a strike by lecturers demanding for payment of their incentive arrears.
