Rwandan national charged with extortion and remanded

A Rwandan National who has extorted millions of desperate Ugandans by promising them refuge status in Canada and Australia has been charged and remanded to Luzira prison.

The suspect is identified as 35 year old Nkudimana Angel.

He has appeared before City hall court grade one magistrate Valeria Tuhimbise who charged him with several counts of obtaining money by false pretense.

He is said to have been asking his victims between 3 to 20 million for visas.

He has however denied the charges and remanded until the 14 of this month when hearing of his case is expected to begin.

Prosecution states that between March 2017 to date, the suspect obtained money by false pretense from many Ugandans promising to get them Visa to Canada and Australia to gain refugee status well as not.
