Kampala Lord mayor Elias Lukwago has appointed Sarah Kanyike DP as a deputy mayor 2016 to 2021.
Hajjati Sarah Kanyike has been Lord councillor Makindye East for the last five years.
Kanyike was seconded by NRM lord councillor for Kyambogo University Byaruhanga, Daudi Lwanga FDC councillor for Kamwokya and Okello Kenedy representing Nakawa 2 FDC and Ssegirinya Mohamed of Kawempe also of the FDC party.
While speaking , Sarah Kanyike asked the KCCA technical wing led by the executive director Jenifer Musisi to work harmoniously with the political wing led by Lukwago so as to provide better services to the people of Kampala.
Kanyike said that in the previous election, the people of Kampala indicated it clearly that they want KCCA to work and uplift the city standard other than leaders constantly fighting.
