The National Team Captain for Pool Cranes Amina Nganda says that lack of financial support has hindered the promotion of Female Sports Teams in the country.

While speaking in a meeting organized by ActionAid International Uganda, Nganda noted that "She sports teams" don't have enough money which sometimes leads to their downfall.

She added that even the few that remain standing are not strong enough to attract more women into sports.

Nganda stated that having few female leaders in Sports Associations and Federations as well contributes to the demotion of those teams.

According to her, with the few leaders in Sports, She teams don't get well represented which makes it hard for them to access funds.

Nganda also said that women in sports face the challenge of sexual harassment most especially those in "Pool Game  Teams".

She explained the fact that Pool games are mostly played in bars, and players are so disrespected by spectators to the extent of being harassed.

As a team leader, she urged spectators to always respect women in sports the way men are respected.
