Suzan Magara’s suspected killer detained

Patrick Kasaija alias Pato the main suspect in the murder of former female accountant Susan Magara has finally been extradited back from South Africa to face charges in here in Kampala.

Pato was brought to Kampala by a team of detectives led by CID commandant for Kampala metropolitan SSp Benson Olal, SSP Mark Odong with the help of Interpol Uganda a board South African airways.

Fred Enanga the police spokesperson confirmed Pato’s extradition and said that he is being detained at Special Investigations Division in Kireka.

Enanga added that Pato has been granted access to his lawyer and that arrangements to interview him and also investigate his defense in the alleged murder of Susan Magara are in place.

The police spokesperson noted that Immediately after the case file will be forwarded to the office of the DPP for perusal and probable sanctioning.

In 2018 February Magara an accountant at a family diary was found dead dumped along Southern express high way in Kigo after she was kidnapped for several days.

The kidnappers including Pato also a close relative demanded over 1bn for her release.

It is reported that they cut off one of her fingers and sent it to her father before over700m was reportedly released to the captors but went on to gruesomely murder her.
