Late Aronda’s widow appears before lands committe

The widow to the former minister of Internal affairs Gen. Aronda Nyakayirima has today honored the summons by the commission of inquiry into land matters and appeared at its headquarters .

This is after  the commission chair Justice Catherine Bamugemeire issued summons requiring Linda Aronda  to appear not later than today thev16th of May to throw more light on  some land that the her late husband purchased  but has some contentions.
However,  despite appearing, Linda was not grilled publicly and the commission head legal lawyer Ebert Byenkya informed justice Bamugemeire that she was with the commission investigating team explaining some contentions on the said land that still remains  unrevealed publicly.
Some people had accused the family of evicting them on the unknown land but up to now the location of the land is still not revealed.

General Aronda’s autopsy released

Government has released the autopsy report indicating that General Aronda Nyakairima died of acute heart failure. The report was released by Col. Shaban Bantariza on behalf of the Prime Minister Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda at Media Center Kampala.

According to the pathology report findings, the general had red eyes caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, congested brain due to failure of flow of blood to the heart, an enlarged heart and abnormal fat layer around the heart that suppressed the blood flow to the heart. The autopsy was conducted from Mulago hospital on the 16th of September by a competent team of pathologists led by Dr.Lawrence Byaruhanga. Other members on the team were Dr.Robert Rukande a pathologist from Makerere University College of health science, Dr. Andrew Mubiru senior government analyst, among others. Dr. Byaruhanga says they were unable to do the autopsy in Dubai because it required them to be registered in UAE and verification of their qualification which would take a long time.
