He says Ugandan will also participate in the Kenya Music and dance festival due in August 8th -18th 2016 in Nairobi. Focusing on the theme, Bigiira asked the East African governments to invest in teenage girls and empower them to make important decisions and equip them to engage in the affairs of their communities so as to be on equal footing with their male counterparts.

He notes that investments are needed to protect the health of young people on sexual and reproductive health, to enable them to receive quality education and expand economic opportunities. The competition focuses on key areas such as Teenage Pregnancy and early marriages.

Benson Baritazali Kule, the Commissioner Secondary Education who officially opened the festival this morning asked participants and spectators to utilize the messages to create positive change within their communities

It’s the second such cover for Aniston who also received the accolade in 2004. Last year’s winner was Sandra Bullock

Nigerian bread vendor lands modelling job after photobombing a shoot

Fortune knocks once at every man’s door unfortunately you never know when it will knock.

Olajumoke Orisaguna, 27, was working as a breadseller in Lagos, Nigeria, when she unintentionally walked through a photoshoot of Tinie Tempah in his home country.

Photographer Ty Bello didn’t think much of Olajumoke or her casual photobomb until later, when she was going through and editing the photos.

That’s when she noticed that she’d accidentally taken a truly incredible shot – and that Olajumoke was someone pretty special.

Bello immediately set out to track down Olajumoke, writing on her Instagram: ‘Every one has been asking if this lady is a model… It was just perfect coincidence…

Ty Bello Photos
‘She just happened to be walking by while I photographed. She definitely SHOULD be a model… I’m happy to help her build a portfolio if she’s interested.‘She’s so beautiful and photographed so well. I’ll find a way to track her down somehow. You guys can also help.’

Wrote Bello on Instagram: ‘A hair stylist from Ire in Osun state but not making enough profit between her and her husband, – a sliding door installer from same village, – to care for their two young children.

‘At the invitation of a distant relative who knew someone operating a bakery, she relocated to Lagos with her 14-month-old daughter to give bread hawking a try, leaving her husband and older five-year-old behind.’

Bello decided to create a short documentary about Olajumoke, and pulled some strings to get her on the cover of Style magazine.

A team gave Olajumoke a model makeover, removing her extensions to give her a close crop, and keeping her makeup minimal.

She was a total natural in front of the camera.

‘She stepped in front of my camera and I almost couldn’t recognise her,’ wrote Bello.

Chinese company sues promoter over Back street boys show

The Backstreet Boys are in the middle of a little showdown in big China — between a concert touring company and a promoter accused of pulling a $2 million scam.

The touring company says it forked over the cash to a woman named Angela Wong, who posed as a successful promoter who’d previously brought Britney Spears over to China … and said she could do the same with BSB.

The company says Wong promised she’d lock in the Boys for 10 concerts last March, but she eventually tried to postpone the scheduled dates. According to the suit, things really got fishy when the Backstreet Boys ended up coming to China around those dates … but through a different promoter.

The suit says Wong gave back $640k when the company called her out, but now it’s suing to get the rest of the money back … plus damages.

Kim Kardashian BFF, Jonathan and Kylie’s lover Tyga named among unknown stars

According to entertainment website Looper,  Jonathan Cheban who has been appearing on the KUWTK in numerous episodes has disernible talent. The Looper.com wrote,

“Jonathan Cheban has been riding the Kardashian wave since it started, appearing on countless episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and even other reality shows, including Millionaire Matchmaker. If he’s wondering why no one takes him seriously, it’s because he has even less discernible talent than the family that he follows around all day, every day.”

Though Cheban has been in the Kardashians’ shadow for so long, he once starred in his own reality show called the spin crowd which was taken off TV due to low ratings.

The entertainment site went further to mention Kylie’s boyfriend Tyga as one of the unpopular stars. They wrote,

“Tyga may have thought shacking up with a satellite Kardashian would be good exposure, and to be fair, he’s partially right. A lot more people know the “Rack City” rapper’s name now, but it’s because he embarked on a relationship with a minor, and now we’re all just really grossed out. It’s beside the point that his PR-heavy romance didn’t help his album sales: his most recent release at the time of this writing, The Gold Album: The 18th Dynasty, moved fewer than 5,000 copies, including streaming. It’s not helping his bank account much, either, as TMZ reports that he barely has the racks to cover his rent.”

Though there have been reports that Kylie and Tyga could break up due to Tyga’s cheating scandal. It is true the relationship could have done more harm than good for rapper Tyga.

The other celebrities that were mentioned include:

Christina Milian
Christina Milian had a hit back in 2004 with “Dip It Low.” She has a reality show, Christina Milian: Turned Up, and occasionally appears as a correspondent in a throwaway gig on The Voice, but she hasn’t had a hit song of her own in ages, despite being talented and stunningly beautiful. Here’s hoping she’s investing the money she has well, because she may be forced into retirement sooner than she thinks.

Frankie Grande
Frankie J. Grande keeps trying to piggyback off half-sister Ariana Grande’s fame. The problem is, where Ariana is a talented vocalist, seasoned Broadway performer, and former Nickelodeon star, Frankie doesn’t actually do anything. He shows up at awards shows, dances occasionally, and was one of the most reviled castmembers of Big Brother in 2014. It’s about time he accepted that his sister got all the star power in their gene pool.

Chantel Jeffries
Chantel Jeffries “dated” Justin Bieber briefly during the height of his legal troubles in January 2014. Now, the Instagram beauty is showing up on red carpets…and we can’t figure out why. Seriously, what does she do? And who keeps inviting her to things?

Joe Jonas
Without his brothers to back him, Joe Jonas needs to accept that he’s going pretty much nowhere. His solo effort, Fastlife, bombed in 2011. His new band, DNCE, didn’t get much help from his former Disney stardom, nor from him highly publicized romance with supermodel Gigi Hadid. He didn’t have success in 2012 with his dating show, The Choice. Though brother Nick has had solo success, Joe Jonas may be better off pulling a Kevin and embarking on a reality show, followed by a quiet family life with which to fade into obscurity.

Hailey Baldwin
Hailey Baldwin is only relevant because of the people around her. Her dad is the second or third most relevant Baldwin brother, she’s dating Justin Bieber (unless by the time you’re reading this, she’s not), she’s BFFs with Kendall and Kylie Jenner (ditto), and she occasionally hits a red carpet when she can serve as someone’s plus-one. She’s supposed to be a model, but be honest: where, other than Instagram, have you seen or will you see her? It’s cool, we’ll wait.

5 Seconds of Summer
The thing about Aussie band 5 Seconds of Summer is that they’re pretty famous…but can you name any of their songs? Any of their members? No. The only time they make headlines is when they’re making jackasses of themselves, like when they insinuated that they don’t even like their own fans (except the groupies, of course), talked smack about Justin Bieber, and bragged about being hungover in a recent Rolling Stone interview. C’mon, kids. Grow up. You’re supposed to be professionals.

Kristin Cavallari
At some point Kristin Cavallari realized that unlike Lauren Conrad, she doesn’t have the enviable lifestyle or design skills necessary to maintain her Laguna Beach fame on her own. She tried to remedy that by hooking up with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who dumped her in 2011…only to get back together and get hitched when the news broke that she was pregnant. Since then, she’s kept her name in headlines with occasional music video cameos and rampant anti-vaccine propaganda. Girl, just give it up and be a WAG.

Cody and Alli Simpson
Cody Simpson is talented, but he lacks the essential star power (and some meaner people would argue the good looks) to make it. He’s had a lot of chances, opening for Justin Bieber and appearing on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills occasionally with then-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, but the Aussie teen star can’t seem to break it stateside. Similarly, his younger sister Alli has been trying to ride his coattails, and considering he can’t even happen, it’s a safe bet that she won’t either.

Paris Hilton
When Paris Hilton lost Nicole Richie, she lost all the actual appeal of The Simple Life. Her televised efforts for a new BFF didn’t last, nor did her music or acting careers. She’s making money as a DJ now and attempted a musical comeback with Young Money, but none of that money is coming from anyone with an actual appreciation for production.

Barbie flashes back on hard times of her love story with Bobi

Well Thank God it is Friday but here Capital FM Friday equals Flash Back. We love that Barbie this morning  woke up with the same Flash back Friday mood. Well, it is true God rises people from dust to crowns of glory. Wife to Ghetto gladiator, Barbie testified this morning.

Barbie took on her Facebook this morning to encourage a sister this morning. “Don’t sit and feel sorry for yourself whenever things are difficult,”she wrote.

Barbie could be one of the most envied ladies in the country’s entertainment circles. From a multi million wedding to a never ending romance. The couple has held it together even during those trying scandals. Bobi Wine should keep counting himself a lucky man. However , Barbie revealed that all this started somewhere.

“Looking at this scorching sun this morning reminds me of the drought in my husband’s pocket 14 years ago.
One february,we were too broke that we couldnt afford breakfast or even tax fares from kanyanya to kamwokya. To get a meal, we had to open up an account of sorts at a restaurant in Kamwokya. The owner is such a good mutooro man. He let us eat any day anytime and my husband paid after several weeks whenever he got money.
We walked from our muzigo in kanyanya, through Bahai temple,Kyebando and down to Kamwokya everyday. I am from a well to do family but I chose not to cry to my relatives. During this time me and my husband had dreams and aspirations. He dreams big you know. As we walked through the dust and jumped those dirty myala everyday,we talked. Infact we always found ourselves in kamwokya somehow.
He told me of how he was going to be rich. How his music would never disappear from the surface of this earth. He told me that he would build an empire and his name would never be forgotten. The story is long..
I later realised that such times were meant to prepare us for a later stage when we had a lot to eat and a car to drive. See,when you are waiting on God to take you to another level, you have to learn to be content. Content with what you are/have at the moment. God is letting you go through such times to prepare you for when you reach that goal you are working so hard to achieve. You know,if you have not gone through the training of being happy and content with little, you will never be happy with a lot. Even if you achieve your dreams, you will be excited for a short while and then your spirit will start yearning for something bigger.
Be happy with the little you have as you dream big. Be patient in times of drought so that when it rains you will appreciate it more.
Me and my husband have learnt to appreciate each season. We are happy when we have a lot and when things seem to be tough. We have the ability to truly enjoy the hard times because we know we are being prepared for when things are better. Don’t sit and feel sorry for yourself whenever things are difficult. As you put your trust and energy in a better tomorrow don’t forget that the challenges you are facing today will be your fall back strength in future.
Happy new month everyone. Pray, believe, trust and BE PATIENT.”

3. Nicki Minaj calling out Miley Cyrus

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards started out with controversy as Nicki Minaj expressed her discontent with her video not being nominated for the top award and then engaged in a little Twitter spat with Taylor Swift. The two realized it was a misunderstanding and quickly made up. But then Miley Cyrus shared her thoughts on the matter, saying that Minaj made the entire thing about her and started a pop star war. No way was Minaj letting that slide. Right after she collected an award, she called the starlet out and created one of the best memes of the year.

4. Everything Donald Trump has said

Donald Trump announced that he was running for president of the United States and proceeded to run one of the strangest campaigns in history, in which he has managed to offend Mexicans, women, war heroes, disabled people, and Muslims. And he has said several bizarre things. But he is still the frontrunner for the Republican party, so we have more craziness to look forward to next year.

5. Kanye for president?

Speaking of bizarre presidential candidates – at the MTV VMAs, rapper Kanye West made an extremely long and weird speech where he announced that he will run for president in 2020. West is known for saying odd things, so no one knew whether or not he was being serious. Just in case, President Obama offered him some political tips.

6. Drake’s dancing in the “Hotline Bling” music video

Drake unveiled his music video for “Hotline Bling” and the internet could not handle it. His so-called “dad dancing” inspired a hilarious meme: users would set his dance moves to another song and he would always be on beat. Drake has been a good sport about it and even shared one of them.

7. Zayn Malik leaving One Direction

The hearts of teenage girls broke everywhere when a member of the popular boy band One Direction announced he was leaving. 8. Michelle Obama dancing with Ellen

A vine video of a live performance by rapper Iggy Azalea went viral for all the wrong reasons. No one was able to understand whatAzalea was saying; it sounded like complete nonsense. Users were sharing it as proof that she cannot rap. As if this was not bad enough, in December 2014 another video had surfaced of Azalea freestyling on a radio show. Social media users were not impressed and created a meme mocking her attempt.

10. The Fashion Police vs. Zendaya’s dreadlocks

The Fashion Police, a show that aired on E! network, had a raunchy sense of humor. But viewers turned on the show when Giuliana Rancic commented on Zendaya’s 2015 Oscar look, specifically her hairstyle. Rancic said that Zendaya looked like “she smells like patchouli oil.” Zendaya fired back and said the comments were stereotypical and offensive.

11. Adele’s comeback

This year marked the return of Adele, who had not released any music since 2012. She made her come back with very little promotion, and clearly did not need it. Her single “Hello” was downloaded a record 1.11 million times its first week in the U.S. Music magazine Billboard reported this was the first time a song reached more than a million downloads in one week. The single also became Adele’s first song to debut at number 1 on the charts.

12. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West name their son

The internet was curious to see what unique name “Kimye” would give their son, considering they named their daughter North West. They did not disappoint and named him Saint West. They have not yet revealed the reasoning behind the name or any picture of him. It will all likely be told in a magazine cover and a three-hour television special.

Movies to watch this Christmas holiday

It is early December and the festive season is almost upon us. Televisions have began showing a vast variety of holiday movies. But these Christmas movies can keep you entertainment this Christmas

The Night Before (2015)

The newest of the adult-themed Christmas movies, The Night Before manages to be full of holiday spirit and a completely successful tale on the transition into adulthood. The film reunites stars Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt with 50/50 director Jonathan Levine and adds co-star Anthony Mackie into the mix for a strong blend of stoner hijinks and Christmas fun.

Full of ugly holiday sweaters, the movie follows Ethan (Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Rogen), and Chris (Mackie) on their annual holiday tradition of drinking the night away on Christmas Eve. While the tradition may have started as a way for Ethan to cope with the loss of his parents, Isaac and Chris have started to worry it’s actually preventing him from moving on. Witty dialogue and likeable characters keep the movie from becoming too bleak as the characters struggle with growing up and moving on. The humor is elevated by some great appearances from Lizzy Caplan, Mindy Kaling, Jason Jones, and Michael Shannon.

Joyeux Noël (2005)

This film takes place during the First World War, as an unofficial Christmas truce in 1914 brings together some French, Scottish, and German front-line soldiers for a short cease-fire and Christmas celebration. What starts as a bloody and brutal war movie turns into a heartwarming story of peace on Christmas—even if that peace was ultimately short-lived. Inspired by real events, the film tells the true story of a group of soldiers who engaged in an unauthorized cease-fire, meeting each other in No Man’s Land for a short respite from battle.

After the Scots began singing Christmas songs, the German, French, and Scottish officers agree to the cease fire, with the soldiers meeting and exchanging stories from home. Unfortunately, the brief glimpse of brotherhood fades quickly, as several soldiers are punished for the truce and the reality of war sets in again. A French film, Joyeux Noël won several international awards and was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

The Apartment (1960)

We’re all familiar with It’s a Wonderful Life, which is arguably one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. But if you’re looking for a classic movie that’s a little less mainstream and with slightly more adult themes, then Billy Wilder’s dark Christmas comedy The Apartment is a perfect choice thanks to its humorous cynicism but ultimately uplifting tone.

Starring Shirley MacLaine and Jack Lemmon, the film follows C.C. Baxter as he tries to work his way up the corporate ladder by allowing company executives to use his apartment for their extramarital affairs. Filled with sexual liaisons, suicide attempts, and drunkenness, the film isn’t a family affair. While it’s not your traditional Christmas movie, the events of the film take place around the holidays, with pivotal scenes happening at the company Christmas party and a New Year’s party. Considered controversial for its time, The Apartment was still a critical and commercial success, winning five Academy Awards.

The Ref (1994)

The Ref is on over-the-top comedy of errors that is full of Christmas hijinks. It follows the story of an unlucky cat burglar named Gus (Denis Leary) who, through an unfortunate twist, ends up having to take a dysfunctional suburban couple (played by Kevin Spacey and Judy Davis) hostage.

The couple, fresh from a rough therapy session, are unable to let their marital problems go, even in the midst of a hostage situation. Gus must act as a referee for the bickering couple, all the while trying to evade the police and dealing with the couple’s extended family as they arrive for the holidays. While it may not be full of glowing holiday spirit, The Ref is the perfect movie for anyone not looking forward to spending another holiday with their families.

Bad Santa (2003)

Much like The Ref, Bad Santa has very little in the way of traditional holiday clichés and warm-fuzzies, making it a great antidote to an excess of Christmas cheer. It stars Billy Bob Thornton as Willie T. Stoke, a professional thief who disguises himself as a department store Santa Claus every year in order to pull off the perfect Christmas Eve heist. But much to his assistant Marcus’s (Tony Cox) dismay, Willie’s alcoholism and sex addiction start interfering with his Santa duties. The heist is further complicated by a poor kid who believes that Willie’s the actual Santa, and a security guard who may be onto them.

The film seems to take pride in its offensiveness, with Willie’s Santa becoming basically the Santa of every parent’s and kid’s nightmares, as he shows up drunk, pees himself, and has sex with store clerks. But it’s not just an offensively funny movie for the sake of laughs; it’s also a great movie with some knock-out performances from Tony Cox, Bernie Mac, and Billy Bob Thornton. Thornton plays the drunk Willie so well that he even earned himself a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

Scrooged (1988)

Scrooged is a more adult and modern take on the classic Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, starring Bill Murray, which makes it one of the greatest adaptations by default. In this 80’s classic, Murray plays Frank Cross, a cynical television executive who is demanding his employees work on Christmas Eve so that the station can put on a live production of A Christmas Carol. After Frank sees the ghost of his old mentor, we are taken through the traditional Christmas Carol storyline, with the ghosts of present, past, and future all making an appearance.

Full of incredible performances from popular 80’s celebraties, including Murray’s turn as Frank, the movie also stars John Glover and Bobcat Goldthwait, with a host of cameos including Jamie Farr, Buddy Hackett, Mary Lou Retton and Anne Ramsey.

Trading Places (1983)

Another 80s classic, Trading Places is set in the couple of weeks around the holiday season, even going into New Year’s. It stars Dan Aykroyd as a successful stockbroker named Louis and Eddie Murphy as a petty crook named Billy Ray, but the two are forced to switch places when the wealthy Duke brothers (Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy) make them the subject of a bet. The millionaire brothers arrange for Louis to get arrested and lose everything as part of an experiment over whether a person’s environment or heredity determines their later success.

The holiday backdrop adds an almost tangible quality to the desperation felt by Louis, and some of the most stand-out scenes happen at holiday events, including a scene where Louis crashes a Christmas party dressed in a Santa suit. It’s a witty and fun movie that, despite being written for adults, still manages to convey the messages of a classic Christmas tale – like helping others in their times of need.

Love Actually (2003)

Love Actually is the classic Christmas rom-com that combines the holiday sentiment we all crave at this time of the year with humor and realism. Set during the extended holiday season, it follows eight couples as they navigate what can ultimately be a lonely and depressing time of the year for many people. There’s a husband who recently lost his wife; a wife with a cheating husband; a writer who can’t get any work done; a man in love with his best friend’s new wife.

As each of these stories play out and interconnect, the characters most overcome their own challenges with love and the holiday season. It brings together an all-star cast, managing to make good use of everyone, including Liam Neeson, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, and Keira Knightly. Because there are eight stories, not all of them can have happy endings, but the overall message is one of hope and love.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

If your favorite childhood Christmas movie is Home Alone, than Christmas Vacation is the perfect, slightly more adult choice. While not totally inappropriate as a family movie, there is enough profanity and adult jokes to earn the film a PG-13 rating. Writer John Hughes (Home Alone, National Lampoon’s Vacation) returns with laughs and heart as the Griswold clan stays home to celebrate Christmas, with the traditional Griswold disastrous results.

Christmas Vacation is the third in the National Lampoon’s series, but the first where we get to see the Griswold’s in their natural environment: their home. Chevy Chase as the father of the Griswold family continues to bring laughs with his penchant for slap-stick comedy, having repeated encounters with precarious ladders. But of course, it’s not just a funny movie – it’s also a Christmas movie, with a family coming together and being reminded about the love they have for one another.

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011)

The third installment in the Harold & Kumar series, 3D Christmas continues their strong tradition of stoner comedy, but this time in 3D. Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) are both back, with the film picking up six years after the events of Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. Over that time, they’ve gone their separate ways, but events conspire to bring them together for the holidays. When the duo accidentally burn down a prize Christmas tree, they must embark on a journey to find a replacement.

While the boys hunt down the perfect Christmas tree, they get up to their typical trouble-fueled adventures, including encountering the Ukrainian mob and getting kidnapped. But despite the missteps, the adventure re-unites the friends in time for Christmas morning, making it a surprisingly sentimental holiday outing for two of our favorite stoners.
