Kanye West is not taking his meds, and people close to him believe some of the comments he made on “TMZ Live” were a result of that.
Kanye himself said he was shunning doctors who ordered him to take 3 pills a day … he says it seriously messed with his mind in a big way and he’s now taking 1 or 2 a week.
People close to Kanye say he’s talked about slavery before as a metaphor, and was unartfully expressing himself when he said slavery was a choice. In fact, Kanye tweeted, “the reason why I brought up the 400 years point is because we can’t be mentally imprisoned for another 400 years. We need free thought now. Even the statement was an example of free thought … It was just an idea.”
We’re told the meds have been problematic … doctors aren’t even sure what works and what doesn’t, and Kanye is controlling his own destiny by self-regulating … for better or for worse.
Kanye West has finally dropped new music, and it appears that his new tune ‘Lift Yourself’ is all about poop. We’ve got the wild song where he riffs about ‘poopity scoop’ and other poop related lines
This can’t be real, right? Kanye West has dropped a new track called “Lift Yourself” via his website on Apr. 27 and its beyond bizarre. It starts just fine, with a sampling from the 1973 song “Liberty” by Amnesty. The singers soulfully harmonize “Lift yourself up on your feet. Lets get it on.” Then its Ye’s turn, a bass beat comes in with some electronic riffs and then comes the next verse where he drops bars like “woop de poop de scoop, “poopity scoop,” “poop poop” “poop diddy woop scoop” and “scoopity woops.” He already revealed that a new album chock full of seven new songs would be dropping on June 1, but we’re not sure if this, umm interesting, new track is going to make the cut.
Kanye West is getting some advice on running for the oval office from POTUS himself.
Barack Obama and the 38-year-old rapper both appeared at an event to support the Democratic Hope Fund in San Francisco on Saturday, and the president joked with Yeezy about his decision to run for office in 2020.
Obama, 54, begin his speech by offering advice to the commander-in-chief hopeful.
“You’re going to hear from a guy who I hear is talking about launching a potential political career. Kanye is thinking about running for… Speaker of the House,” Obama told the audience, via ABC7 news. “In case Kanye’s serious about this whole POTUS thing — or as he calls it, ‘Peezy’ — I do have some advice for him. There’s some stuff I picked up along the way.”
It turns out that some of the tips will be easier for West to follow than others. “First of all, you’ve got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they’re on a reality TV show,” Obama quipped, referring to Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“Second important tip: Saying that you have a ‘beautiful dark twisted fantasy’? That’s what’s known as off-message in politics,” he continued, talking about West’s 2010 album. “You can’t say something like that. A lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying things like that.”
Obama concluded his speech with a little jab at himself as well.
“And number three, do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the south side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the United States?” he said as the crowd burst into laughter.
It’s tough to excuse Obama of not having a sense of humor!
