Ministers recently appointed are currently taking oath at State House in Entebbe.The occasion is being presided over by the appointing authority President Yoweri Museveni.
The Vice President, Hon. Edward Ssekandi and the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ruhankana Rugunda were the first to take oath this morning.
First deputy Prime Minister Kirunda Kivejinja then followed. The ceremony is still ongoing. Government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo says the function is expected to end this afternoon after which the outgoing Cabinet and state Ministers are expected to handover to the new office-bearers.
He adds that the Prime minister has been directed to work closely with the head of public service to harmonize all government departments to avoid wasteful expenditure.
