A secondary school teacher has been arrested in the eastern district of Kaliro for allegedly beating a student to death.
Kenneth Wako a teacher at Namugogo secondary school was picked up by police this morning following reports that he battered a student called Siraj Sezaka a senior one student after finding him sleeping in a dormitory while others were in class last night.
Kaliro DPC Henry Kintu says the students who became unconscious after the beating was pronounced dead upon arrival at Kaliro Smart Clinic where he was rushed for treatment.
