Thousands of Christians around Kampala gather for the way of the cross

By Wasswa Deo

Thousands of Christian believers have today walked from different places to old Kampala  play ground as pilgrims to Jerusalem to retrace the steps of Jesus and Mary on way to Calvary.

This was during the Ecumenical public way of the cross 2017 which ended with an ecumenical service.

In his encouragement message delivered by  Musinioli Charles Kasibante, the Kampala Arch Bishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga  has told  christians  that’s it’s not important enough to carry the cross in the public  while their private lives contradicts what our Lord died for.

However, the main chief celebrant, Metropolitan Yonna Lwanga, has urged Ugandans especially leaders to change the way they behave ranging from entertaining corruption, theft, child sacrifices among others.
