The call comes as the country joins the rest of the world to mark the International labor day when majority of the workers are not earning due to covid19 imposed lock down.

Wilson Owere from National Organization of Trade Unions says that there is need for the NSSF contributors to be waived of the financial burdens escalated by the covid19 pandemic but all this can only happen if the law is amended.

Owere adds that the amendment should be done to enable Workers access their savings so they can build themselves homes, repay loans , and medical care among others .
