40 year old father has been convicted and sentenced to 15years imprisonment for defiling his 13 year biological daughter.
Musa Lutaya has been sentenced by High Court Judge Alex Ajiji after he pleaded guilty to the offence of aggravated defilement.
Justice Ajiji ruled that though Lutaya did not waste court’s time by pleading guilty but he deserved a deterrent sentence to deter other fathers from defiling their daughters. The judge added that Lutaya was supposed to protect his daughter from criminals but instead he decided to defile her.
The victim says, her father first forced her to drink Empire for making her weak and after he performed sexual intercourse with her. Prosecution states that the offense was committed during the month February 2015 at Kito zone Matugga in Wakiso district.
In same court a 27year old man has been sentenced to 17 years imprisonment at Luzira prison after accepting defiling a 9 year old sister’s daughter and infected him with HIV/AIDS. David Kayondo a resident of Nakulabye Hozana zone Rubaga division in Kampala has been sentenced by High Court Judge Alex Ajijia after he pleaded guilty to the offense of aggravated defilement and asked for a lenient punishment.
Court heard that Kayondo used to defile his sister’s daughter whenever his sister is away for work.
Prosecution led by Nyanzi Gladys states that the convict defiled the girl several times in the month of May 2015 well knowing that he was HIV positive. According to the victim, her uncle warned not to tell anyone and promised to harm her if she reveals the same. Court documents indicates that on June 25th 2015 due to a lot of pain the victim revealed the incident to a neighbor who also revealed the information to the victim’s mother hence his arrest and prosecution.
