The vice chairperson Kasubi zone 4 in Rubaga division and also Uganda crane prominent fan Jackson Sewanyana aka Uncle money has been found guilty and consequently convicted on charges of manslaughter after he and others severely beat a suspected thief leading to his death.
Buganda road court chief magistrate Miriam Okello Ayo has ruled that prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence to prove the said charge.
Uncle money has been convicted with a 27 year area defense Secretary Benson Ssenyonga .
While defending himself, Uncle money claimed that he came to the crime scene to rescue the deceased who had been seriously beaten by residents suspecting him to have grabbed some ones mobile phone.
Sewanyana is said to have beaten and kicked a resident after suspecting him of being a thief which eventually caused his death on September 16th 2019.
Uncle money is also accused of inciting a mob to lynch a one Siraje Hakim Tumusiime after they suspected him to be a thief.
