Members of the National Women's Council (which comprises all Chairpersons of District Women's Councils) are meeting at Kibuli Secondary School in Kampala Capital City, to start the two-day process of electing their 4-member apex Committee.
Today is the first day of the National Delegates Conference for Election of the National Women's Executive Committee.
According to Paul Bukenya the deputy spokesperson of the Electoral commission, Nomination of candidates for the positions of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Publicity Secretary and Secretary for Finance will be conducted today at 2pm while the voting will take place tomorrow Friday 24th August 2018 starting at 12pm.
