Police have lined up several charges against former forum for democratic change presidential aspirant Dr Kizza Besigye.

According to police Besigye has a case to answer including unlawful swearing in as duly elected president of the republic of Uganda.

The police spokesperson Fred Enanga says the investigation team is compiling reports and also scanning a video clip that circulating on social media showing Besigye swearing in.

Enanga adds that Besigye also disobeyed interim court order that had banned all the FDC defiance campaign activities.

Besigye who beat up 24 hours security surveillance at his Kasangati home on Wednesday was arrested after he made appearance in city center and taken to Nalufenya in Jinja and was later airlifted to Moroto police station where he is currently detained.
