The opposition party of Uganda People’s Congress UPC urges Government to prioritize increasing Budget allocation in Agriculture to mitigate the current food insecurity in the country.
The country is experiencing a very long dry spells and this is affecting crop and Anima production resulting in increase in the prices of food commodities and famine.
UPC spokesperson Micheal Orachi Osinde, Uganda People’s Congress says Government should come up with viable alternatives to address this matter urgently and provide alternative measures to cattle keepers in Uganda whose cattle are dying due to lack of pastures and water.
