The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has urged men not to abandon their women when they suffer fistula.
The Katikiro made the remarks as the Kingdom handed over a contribution of 70 million shillings to Kitovu hospital to support the treatment of fistula patients.
The money was collect from the Kabaka’s birth day run held this year. Katikiro Mayiga expressed concern that many men don’t want to stay with their women when they acquire fistula yet they are the ones who impregnate the women which exposes them to fistula.
