Bobi Wine’s documentary titled “Bobi Wine: The people’s president” is set to premiere in New York City before the end of July.

The Singer turned politician originally Known as Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine revealed the good news via his socials and said that the documentary will be premiered in New York central park.

The documentary that was directed by Moses Bwayo and Christopher Sharp captures Bobi’s hustle to stardom and also his journey in active politics.

It details the spectacular rise of Bobi Wine as it takes us down the remarkable story of a rags-to-riches tale of a poor boy from Kamwokya slum who rose from obscurity to become a celebrated national hero—against all odds.

It shows that through music and politics, the ghetto gladiator has managed to win hearts both in Uganda and across the world.

 It aswell highlights the deep governance issues in Uganda when it comes to opposing the status quo. The movie further suggests how the Ghetto President is ready to take Uganda into the future.

The documentary scooped two awards at the Millenium Documentary Film Festival that ran from March 30th  to April 6th , 2023 in Brussels, Belgium. It won the Audience Prize and the Bronze Goal for Best Film on Human Rights.
