Groundnuts farmers in Nyero Subconty in Teso Region have called up on Uganda government, civil society organizations and other responsible authorities to Support them in terms of funding.
These farmers have told our reporter that it’s only G.nuts which they depend on more as stable economic activity in the community to earn some income for their living.
Currently, these farmers decided to join in one community group to work together for transporting their produces to Busia for marketing.
Farmer in this community which among include, Itiakorit Cherle, Peninah Akurut and Ojilong Richard, say, once they receive funding, they are planning to buy G.nuts grinding machine which will help them for value addition.
