The former Miss Uganda Sylvia Wilson Namutebi Alibhai urges  Ugandan Designers to adopt a working policy of partnering with each other if they are to grow in the Fashion Industry.

Speaking at the press conference of the Ekyooto Ha Mpago festival  slated for 25th to 28th November in Fort portal the beauty queen  said  that fashion designers do not want to work together or collaborate yet it’s one of the easiest ways of pushing the sector  and each other to the international level.

Sylvia also revealed that the Fashion Industry has grown in the past ten years adding that Fashion Designers should blend culture as they design outfits as a way to further promote our African cultures on the global scene.

She also encouraged young girls with big dreams of becoming queens to begin by joining mentorship programs as these will teach them how best to handle their lives for example what and what not to post on their social media platforms and what to say or where at any given time among other tips.

The beauty queen further advised the  girls to believe in themselves regardless of their color, shape and size or background because every woman is beautiful in their own way.
