Twitter Boss Elon Musk revealed that soon he would rebrand the social platform by changing its “bird” logo to an “X”.

Mr. Musk, who already changed the business's name to X Corp, said the replacement should have been done long ago.

The Shift from bird imagery to that of Capital “X” will be the latest and most significant change since the billionaire bought Twitter for $ 44 billion.

The company's Chief Executive Officer, Linda Yaccarino, wrote on the platform that rebranding will be an exciting new opportunity.

“Twitter made one massive impression and changed the way we communicate. Now X will go further transforming the global town square, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine”, Yaccarino tweeted.

In April 2023, Twitter's legacy blue bird logo was temporarily replaced by Dogecoin's Shiba Inu dog, helping drive a surge in the cryptocurrency's market value.

In 2011  Biz Stone the co-founder of Twitter said that the bird is called Larry which is a tribute to basketball star and Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird.

Under Musk's tenure, since he bought Twitter in October 2022, the company has changed its business name to X Corp, reflecting the billionaire's vision to create a  “super app” like China's WeChat.

The company came under widespread criticism from users and marketing professionals when Musk announced early this month that Twitter would limit the number of tweets various accounts can read daily.

Other changes include the company  laying   off more than half of  its workforce since Musk officially took over
