The Najjanakumbi Forum for Democratic Change  says its National council will sit next week to adopt the FDC Election Road Map and decide on when they will hold the delegates conference.

Addressing the media today at their party headquarters, party spokesperson John Kikonyogo said that this coming delegate’s conference is special since it is a decision on their next general Elections Presidential Candidate.

He revealed that the party has further resolved to start traversing constituencies as they prepare for the 2026, general Elections.

"After concluding four regions and sub-regions, we have now resolved to move to constituencies as we identify candidates and energize them," Kikonyogo said.

Kikonyongo says nobody should refer to them as a Najjanakumbi Faction since the Electoral Commission certified them as a party with full leadership.

He says that referring to them as a Najjanakumbi faction distorts their Authority yet they are the rightful recognized FDC party.

His claim came in the wake of the Electoral Commission declining to certify the Katonga Faction party's new name and colors.

"We have certified copies of our leaders from the Electoral Commission, and no one should refer to us as the Najjanakumbi faction anymore".

He said that it took them time to make FDC, however, some selfish people want to bring the original party down.

Thus, the claim comes at a time when most of the party founders deserted the party over disagreements in party leadership,

These include  Gen.Mugisha Muntu, Abdul Katuntu, and the recent batch led by former party leader and President Rtd. Col. Kizza Besigye.
