More Suspected ADF Members Remanded.

 A fish Monger has been arraigned before Buganda Road Court and charged with being a member of rebel group the Allied Democratic forces.

Saheed Nsubuga alias Derrick a resident of Kiyindi village Busimbi Sub-county in Mityana District appeared  before chief magistrate Dr Douglas Singiza, but could not take plea to the charge of belonging to a terrorist organisation since the prosecutor was indisposed.

 However, the suspect revealed to Court that for the past year he has been illegally detained at CMI with out trial and tortured  since being kidnapped last year.

He opened his shirt and showed the various wounds on his body that he claims he sustained during his detention at CMI.

Nsubuga is jointly charged with Rashid Turimukabi a Butcher man and Ali Bigere who are all residents of Busia Municipality in Busia District.

The Magistrate ordered him to file his complaints in writing and remanded him until the 31st when he will return to take plea.

Its alleged that Nsubuga together with his co accused persons and others still at large between the year 2018 and 2022 in the various areas of Uganda belonged or professed belonging to a terrorist organization the Allied Democratic Forces.End.

The same Court has charged four more suspects with belonging to rebel group ADF.

These included  Hakim Twaha a Peasant and resident of Buhemba Village in Namayingo District, Habibu Swaibu Kaigo a Fisherman at Nairobi Landing Site  in Mayuge district and Adam Edrisa from Bunya County also in Mayuge District and Lukeman Mugomba a resident of Buligo village In Iganga District. 

They are  alleged to have committed the offences between 2021 and January 2022 while in Mayuge, Mukono and Namayingo Districts.

Twaha face an extra charge of terrorism for having reportedly been found with materials for making local improvised Explosive Devices -IED.

Court  remanded them to Luzira Upper  Prison until  May 31st 2022 when they will reappear to know the stage of investigations.End.
