Park Geun-hye is the first South Korean president to visit Uganda

There is heavy deployment along Kampala Masaka road  ahead of  Republic of South Korea's president visit to Kampiringisa Children's remand home.
 President Park Geun-hye  will be visiting the remand home in Kamengo , Mpigi and checking on several other projects.

South Korean president's  visit to Uganda is part of her current East African Region tour that has so far seen her visit Ethiopia. She is slated to visit Kenya after Uganda.

 Park Geun-hye is the first South Korean President to pay a state visit to Uganda.
President Museveni visited South Korea in September 2014. During that visit he held extensive discussions with Korean leaders centering on promoting relations between Seoul and Kampala especially in the economic and trade sectors.
Park Geun- hye is the first female president of South Korea, she took office in February 2013. She was also named 43rd most powerful person in the world by Forbes in 2014.
