The Union of European Football Associations applauded Aliguma Foundation for positively impacting the lives of the young ones through football.

The UEFA president  Aleksander Ceferin who was in Uganda purposely to check on the Aliguma Foundation Projects was pleased with the way the foundation improved children's lives.

 Visiting the Banda Slums Soccer Tournament which is part of the  Foundation's initiatives aiming at creating social impact through Football, Ceferin noted that the several skills given to the young boys by the organization not only impact them but also the country at large.

According to Ritah Aliguma, the organization's Chief Executive Officer the UEFA President’s visit is an inspiration to many slum residents as it gives them hope for a better life.

The Foundation was the first-time recipient of the UEFA Foundation For Children Grant as part of the 65 humanitarian projects around the world worth €4.9 MILLION (an estimated UGX19.1 BILLION).
