Housing Finance Bank Gives Ndejje University Basketball Angels 60m Boost

Housing Finance Bank has announced a generous sponsorship of sixty million shillings for Ndejje University Angels Basketball team.  

Housing Finance Bank’s Company Secretary Ann Abeja   handed over the cheque at function held at their head offices in Kololo on Friday.

The team, led by their dedicated coach Omondi Tom, and supported by the dean of students, Muhumuza Wilfred Kato, was moved by the bank's commitment to their success.

She said the financial support   will help Ndejje University to set up a state-of-the-art basketball court

It is believed that this   will   provide the university's players with a world-class training and competition facility, fostering an environment of excellence and achievement.

Through this new partnership, Housing Finance Bank has also donated New Jerseys to the team that recently ended City Oilers 17 game unbeaten run.

“We believe in supporting endeavours that inspire growth potential, and therefore while we scouted around, we are so glad and pleased that we chanced upon. And we believe this is a match made in heaven and we can’t wait for the magic to hit this country” Abejja stated.

She noted that just as e players work seamlessly as a team on and off the court, the bank also collaborates with their customers to create tailored solutions that cater to their very needs.

“We believe that the same drive you have as players is what we also see here in our employees which we use to delight our customers and support them in their journey of achieving their financial goals” she said.

Muhumuza Wilfred, the Dean of Students, lauded the bank for their previous contribution in constructing the existing basketball court at Ndejje University.

This court has not only revolutionized training for the players but also eliminated the need for extensive travels to Kampala for practice, underscoring the bank's genuine dedication to nurturing talent and facilitating convenience.

The historical reliance on hiring pitches at Lubiri or Mengo Senior Secondary schools for training purposes has now become a chapter of the past, replaced by the establishment of a dedicated facility right within Ndejje University.
