Busoga University in court.

By Sania Babirye

Busoga University has run to court trying to block the National Council for Higher Education from revoking its Education License.

The council last year issued a notice in the Uganda Gazette that it will revoke the provisional license  it granted  Busoga University  in 1998 for, recruiting  unqualified academic staff, accumulated financial embarrassments and graduation of unqualified students among others.

Now University's Vice Chancellor Prof. David Lameck Kibiyo has petitioned the Constitutional court for orders stopping the revoking of license saying they were not given a fair hearing of the matter.
