Minister Anite urges investors to adequately invest in ICT space

State Minister of Finance in charge of Investment and Privatization, Evelyn Annite has urged investors in ICT sector to prioritize investing adequately into the country‘s ICT sector highlighting opportunities in the sector.

Minster says with a huge country’s population being young, with a lot of booming small and medium enterprises, this calls for ICT services to address the needs

Her remarks came as she was officiating at the launch of the Infinix NOTE40 series to the Uganda market.

Anite also emphasized the need for innovators and investors to manufacture quality smartphones and other accessories in Uganda so that they can grab the opportunities presented by Uganda's investment climate.

Minister commended Infinix for its transformative journey from traders to manufacturers, highlighting their revolutionary ambitions.

She also disclosed that Infinix is establishing a manufacturing plant in Nakifuma, to further support the "Buy Uganda, Build Uganda" campaign and also create decent jobs for Ugandans.

‘’The launch of the Infinix NOTE40 series represents more than just the introduction of a new product but symbolizes a future that harmonizes with Uganda's National Investment Plan’’, Anite noted.

She described the product launch as a celebration of a roadmap toward prosperity, innovation, and growth for the nation.

She also lauded Infinix for coming up with an innovative product that requires only 8-minute charging time from 1-50% which she says will address the biggest challenge of slow charging speed.


On her part, Mr. Barnett Fan, the Brand Manager at Infinix said the newly launched Infinix NOTE40 series was designed to address the challenge of power shortage with the groundbreaking 100W fast charge technology that gives you 1% to 50% charge in just 8 minutes to keep users connected all times.

The NOTE40Pro+ (5G) comes with a 3D curved Amoled Gorilla corning glass offering users an immersive visual experience. The new series comes with a 108MP camera with 256GB storage Capacity.
