Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Katanga's Widow

A warrant of arrest east has been issued against Molly Katanga, the wife to Henry Katanga after failing to appear in court to be charged with her husband's alleged murder.

Molly Katanga is the main suspect in her husband's suspected murder and is jointly charged with two of her daughters; Martha Nkwanzi and Patricia Kakwanza with a medical doctor and the family's Shamba boy.

Four people have since been charged and committed to the high court for trial while Molly Katanga was reportedly  admitted in hospital  being treated for the injuries she suffered in the said attack at their marital home in Mbuya  on the 2nd of November 2023.

Magistrate sided  with the state that there is no substantive evidence of medical injuries.

"As court we don't understand her medical condition . There is a mechanism of court to handle sick patients and she can apply for bail basing on her medical condition" HW. Kakooza ruled.

The magistrate noted that if Molly Katanga was indeed sick, the prisons can be able to handle her illness.

Her two  daughters,family Shamba boy George Amanyire and a medical practitioner  Charles Otai are charged with  being accessories after the fact of  murder.

They are  accused of destroying  evidence in the said alleged murder,  and tampering with the scene of crime.

The four are currently on remand at  Luzira Prison .
