The Mufti of Uganda, His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, has implored Muslims and Ugandans at large to instill values that promote discipline in their children if the future of the Nation is to be bright.

According to, Sheikh Mubaje, a long time ago communities and Nations survived because of how the children were brought up. The cleric advised Parents to intensify the teaching of their children both secular and religious education to enable them to grow up as responsible citizens with skills.

Sheikh Mubaje asked communities to support and encourage girls who got pregnant during the lockdown to continue and pursue their studies. He asked that these children do not lose hope. The Mufti pleaded with parents and those in charge of Schools to allow them to return to school to pursue their life dreams for a bright future.

Sheikh Mubahje made the call during his speech at the memorial prayers ( Duwa )  for the late Ausi Wambi, a former resident of Bukoona village in Nakalama Sub-county in Iganga district.

Speaking at the same function, Minister for Works and Transport, Gen. Katumba Wamala, advised Media channels in Busoga region to sensitize the population to embrace Government  Poverty Alleviation programs such as SACCO, Parish Model, and Myooga instead of misusing their valuable time and energy doing nothing.
