Masaka High Court is full to capacity as well-wishers especially opposition members of Parliament came to show support in the ongoing hearing of the second bail application by opposition politicians Allan Ssewanyana and Mohammad Ssegirinya.

The Makindye West MP and Kawempe North Mp who are charged with seven counts of murder and terrorism among others are appearing befored justice Lawrence Tweyanze via Zoom .

The legislators want court to temporarily release them so that they can get specialized medical attention for their poor health , and alleged torture claims.

They are represented by Kampala Lord mayor Erias Lukwago and Kampala Woman MP Shamim Malende.

Earlier on, Counsel Malende informed a fully packed court that they had been attacked by unknown goons who deflated one of her car tyres on her way to Masaka this morning.

Prosecution alleges that on the 4th day of August 2021,the two members of parliament killed one Bwanika Joseph of Kisekka B Village, Kankamba Parish, Lwengo District.

They are jointly charged with Sserwada Mike, Muwonge Jude,Wamala Bulo and Mugerwa John.

Prosecution states that the group on the 23rd of August at Ssenya Village,in the Masaka City,with malice aforethought killed Kiyimba Tadeo and attempted to murder Ssebyoto Ronald on the same day at Ssettaala Village. It is also alleged that they participated in the murder of Slaiman Kakooza, Michael Kiza Nswa on August 23rd 2021,at Ssetela Village, Kimanya,Kabonera divison .

The group is said to have planned the alleged murders in the capital Kampala.
