he High Court in Masaka has set the 25th of Octet to rule on the bail applications filed by opposition Members of Parliament Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana.
Justice Lawrence Tweyanze set the date after hearing the Legislator's respective bail applications.

According to Counsel Lukwago, their clients are in dire need of immediate specialized medical attention stating that MP Ssegirinya's foot is rotting away and if nothing is done, the effects can go as far as affecting his other vital body organs.
MP Ssegirinya displayed his rotting leg to the judge during the hearing held via zoom. Lawyer Shamim Malende informed court earlier how she was attacked by unknown goons who deflated the tyres of the vehicle she was traveling in to Masaka.

However, it remains to be seen if the MPs will regain their temporary freedom since President Museveni has asked Judges to not grant bail to Capital Offender suspects and cabinet has since passed the said proposal and is currently before Parliament.
