Uganda Airlines Executive director Jennifer Bamuturaki has announced her commitment to promoting Ugandan-made products by serving them aboard flights to various destinations.

Bamuturaki made the remarks as she addressed representatives of various companies at a Trade Representative Forum. The presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development organized it.

The Committee headed by Mr. Odrek Rwabogo, brings together all trade representatives, allowing them to network, learn and build strategies with Uganda's private sector local input.

In November 2021 a video went viral in Uganda in which a passenger aboard a Uganda Airline flight no 446 to Dubai was is seen hawking grasshoppers, also locally known as Nsenene ,this did not go well with a section of some Ugandans who became critical of the actions who was later identified as as Paul Mubiru .

Mrs Bamuturaki and the executive director Uganda Bureau of standards David Livingstone Ebiru say the Nsenene and other local foods will continue to be served as favorite dishes to travelers as many countries continue embracing Uganda's Airline with new routes across the world.

The airline intends to connect the East African country with four destinations in the UK, United Arab Emirates, China and India
