Following the launch of an African STEM-based television series for children,the United states Government has committed its self  towards supporting Uganda's agricultural sector through initiatives like the Vines program and the Farmer-to-Farmer program.

This was disclosed by the U.S. Ambassador to Uganda William W. Popp as  U.S. Mission in Uganda launched Season 3 ,an African STEM-based television series for children.

This was held at the  campus of Enimiro Products Uganda, a vanilla processing and export company on Thursday 28th Sep 2023.

He says the U.S.government also works to connect this support to Uganda's youth through programs like the International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program which provides opportunities for U .S. citizens to assist countries like Uganda in establishing school-based agricultural education and youth extension programs.

The project jointly undertaken by Catholic Relief society with support from the United states Government is processing vanilla ,Jack fruit and pine apples for export to the US market and has do far employed 15000 youth.

In a partnership between the U.S.government and"eripheral Vision International (PVI), the series inspires interest in STEM by highlighting projects related to health, climate change, wildlife, biodiversity, agriculture, and technology systems .

Episode one, aired at the launch, features Ugandan vanilla farmers, agriculture extension education, highlighting the ongoing collaboration with both public and private Ugandan agricultural entities, and showcasing the U.S.government-funded Vines project.

The Vines project, funded by the U.S.Department of Agriculture and implemented by Catholic Relief Services(CRS), is working to make Uganda the world's next leading supplier of high-quality vanilla.
