Uganda also needs to publish names of sexual offenders

Following Rwanda's prosecution that started publishing names of people convicted of sex crimes, Gaetano suggested that Prosecution in Uganda should also start publishing a list of names of people convicted of certain crimes if we are to prevent recurrence offenses.

Gaetano added that he would be happy if there is a registry he can go to and see faces and names for people convicted of different crimes. He however suggested that if later they are found innocent they can be removed from the list.

Lucky said that corrupt people should also be published whether government officials or not. With a register, people will not easily forget offenders. 

Lucky also pointed out drunk drivers that saying they should also be listed and published so that as people get into their cars, they know very well what can happen next.

She further added that even if a drunk driver caught has never been involved in an accident, one would want to know what if they become an Uber driver.
